Musical Live Coding Workshop

Ever wondered how computers can make music?

Join us at House of Possibilitas to learn how – using a beginner-friendly browser-based tool called Strudel, a programming language for writing music on your computer in real-time.

Join local artist-technologist-live coder Kelsey Cotton for a workshop during the fall break. We’ll learn the basics of coding music in Strudel, share your creations, and discover how technology becomes an instrument for making music.

No previous coding or music experience required—just bring your laptop and charger, your headphones and your love for music!

Open to all children ages 10-14.

Finish LOOP.learn with a party!

After the workshops, you’ll get the chance to share what you’ve created at LOOP.fest on October 31.

It’s time to invite your parents, friends, grandparents, uncles, aunts and anyone else you’d like to come and see, listen and cheer you on!

During the afternoon, you’ll get to showcase the music and creative projects you’ve made together during LOOP.learn. It’s a chance to share your ideas, try out your creations in front of an audience, and celebrate everything you’ve accomplished.

LOOP.fest takes place on October 31, 13:00–16:00 at House of Possibilitas.
