25 maj kl 11:00 – 15:00
by Andrea Hackl
For movers with an advanced level: professional dancers, students, circus artists and general movement enthusiasts.
POETICS OF BODY STATES offers a deep exploration based on Andrea’s dance work & movement practice, complimented and enriched by her experience as massage therapist.
The workshop offers the space to playfully explore movement principles as well as challenge and surprise ourselves. The proposed work combines somatic work, guided exploration of proposed principles as equally, set material; we dive into and harvest the fluid power of the body to explore different states and physicalities – using weight, momentum and breath. Finding our power in organic pathways & a natural interplay of forces and the fluidity of the body.
We start with a more internal focus and expand towards and exploration in the group.
Structure
- WARM UP based on somatic & healing practices inspired by breath and the fluidity of the body, exploration of movement principles and set material,
- BREAK [you can bring some food with you. We’ll provide coffee / tea & some fruit]
- SECOND PART – deeper exploration, improvisation & compositional tasks in collaboration with the group
We might be using writing and sensorial drawing, a method Andrea has been exploring in her practice, as complimentary tools to travel between different cognitive layers.
invitation: BRING PAPER & PENS & COLOURS – strictly no material / colours that could damage the studio space!
