Workshop: Acrobatic Partnering

Utforska Kinetic Orchestras unika partneringteknik i en workshop med fokus på rörelse, balans och samarbete. Genom lekfulla övningar, akrobatik och partnerarbete upptäcker deltagarna nya sätt att dela vikt och utmana traditionella roller. Passar olika erfarenhetsnivåer och anpassas efter deltagarna.

Dive into the specific approaches behind the unique partnering technique that is key in Kinetic Orchestra’s work. This workshop emphasizes overall physicality and the ability to adapt to different ways of moving either alone or with a partner. More importantly, we always take the opportunity to question (and break) conventional divisions between flying or basing roles by discovering new ways to balance and enrich partnering for exercise as well as performance purposes.

Throughout the class, we practice having our weight on our hands and supporting the weight of a partner on our back and legs. We warm up at the beginning of the lessons using various exercises and games. Individual acrobatic skills are then taught towards the middle of the class, while longer sequences are explored at the end. Our teaching is adapted on a case by case basis according to the level of the course, starting from the needs of the participants.
